Beyond Today - Colors

The colors of the past
Are crowded by the lonely
Fabled eyes
I feel upon me
I’m waking up
Feeling like it’s too late
To save what’s left 
My soul has its fate

My story is colored by this cancer
I can’t seem to put it all together
My heart beats faster and faster
These colors are all around me

I’m seeing their colors have shown
I’m fighting on my own
I’m pushing away from my soul
I wish I would have known
That somebody’s out there

A vacant smile
Is given to the lonely
A simple stich 
Could make them happy
They’re waking up 
And fighting for a new day
To save what’s left
We make our own fate
