and no people behind
the window panes full of stains
from the pigeons, the rats

you complain about everything that crosses your way

the curtains don‘t change
they are hardly ever pulled back
no chance to ever track
somebody down

at night the lights go on
behind the curtains
there must be someone
somebody is awake
but no faces to the lights appear
there‘s only sound in here
